Data Analyst
(Full time, based in Utrecht, the Netherlands)

 

We are looking for the person who can use our SCOPE data to help find answers to the bigger issues in agriculture. How can the SCOPE assessment data help provide solutions and answers to reaching the Sustainable Development Goals more efficiently or effectively? How can we use SCOPE assessment data in our marketing and communication?

Your tasks consist of, on the one hand, find the stories behind the data and on the other hand, using the data of our clients, to provide insights so they can adjust and finetune their interventions. Besides that, you will assist the SCOPEinsight team in developing data-driven content for marketing purposes.

Are you the right person for the job? The Data Analyst plays a key role in the process and it may include the following:

Data Analysis

  • Use SCOPE assessment data to validate our Theory of Change
  • Conduct data analysis to provide insights and proof for the mission of SCOPEinsight
  • Provide support and reports to SCOPEinsight clients using data analysis
  • Co-develop a standardized interface facilitating dynamic data analysis
  • Design, develop and carry out research projects
  • Improve data collection procedures as well as process, clean and verify data integrity
  • Translate data into valuable insights and present them from a Business Intelligence perspective

Education and experience

  • Quantitative background (master’s degree in an area such as Business Mathematics & Informatics)
  • An interest in the agribusiness sector and agricultural systems in developing countries
  • Experience in quantitative research methodologies
  • Excellent English – and preferably also the Dutch – language skills. Language skills in Spanish and/or French are highly preferred
  • Experience with statistical tools
  • Knowledge of SQL is a great plus
  • Excellent skills in Excel and other Office tools
  • Experience creating dynamic data visualizations (for example with Qlik, Tableau, or other visualization tools) is a plus.
