Since 2010, SCOPEinsight has trained over 480 assessors, almost 2000 assessments were conducted in more than 35 countries spanning 24 agricultural sectors and reaching over 5 million farmers worldwide. Our clients include global agri-businesses, NGOs, financial institutions as well as multilateral development and certification organizations.

To facilitate our growth, we are looking for a professional and experienced:

Data Analyst

(Full time, based in Utrecht, the Netherlands)

We are looking for the person who can, using our SCOPE data, help find answers to the bigger issues in agriculture. How can the SCOPE assessment data help provide solutions and answers to reaching the Sustainable Development Goals more efficiently or effectively? Are you the right person for the job?

The Data Analyst plays a key role in the process and it may include the following:

Data Analysis

  • Conduct data analysis to provide insights and proof for the mission of SCOPEinsight
  • Provide support and report for SCOPEinsight clients using data analysis
  • Co-develop a standardized interface facilitating dynamic data analysis
  • Design, develop and carry out research projects
  • Improve data collection procedures as well as process, clean and verify data integrity
  • Translate data into valuable insights and present them from a Business Intelligence perspective


  • Independent personality, self-starting and self-motivating
  • Strong knowledge of and background in statistics
  • Keep a clear overview, set and keep priorities in a dynamic and demanding environment
  • Positive attitude, can-do mentality
  • Systematic problem-solving mindset

  • Ability to present and communicate clearly within SCOPEinsight and externally, in a truly international environment

Education and experience

  • Quantitative background (master’s degree in an area such as Business Mathematics & Informatics (or similar)
  • An interest in the agribusiness sector and agricultural systems in development countries
  • Experience in quantitative research methodologies
  • Excellent English language skills. Language skills in Spanish and/or French are highly preferred
  • Experience with statistical tools
  • Excellent skills in Excel and other Office tools
  • Experience creating dynamic data visualizations (for example with Qlik, Tableau, or other visualization tools) is a plus.
