Intern Operations & Sales (Preferably full time, based in Utrecht, the Netherlands)

We are looking for the person who can help to streamline and support activities related to business development, sales and operations, with the intention to increase outreach to potential clients. How can SCOPEinsight use data analysis to better position itself in the market? How can we reach our ‘ideal clients’ to reach our mission? Are you the right person for the job?

The internship will allow the candidate to learn to take more ownership for some larger projects and balance it with providing support in other tasks, always with the guidance of our dedicated staff.

The position may include the following activities:

Operations

  •  Support Operations with administrative tasks to support clients, i.e. planning trainings, keep project management system up to date, participate in internal project evaluations, provide support on SCOPE Dashboard as well as other ‘helpdesk’ support, administration (processing creditors invoices, contracting, invoicing clients), etc.
  • Create Consolidated Reports for clients in cooperation with Data Analyst and other team members
  • Assist in updating and upgrading operational details for monthly management reporting
  • Co-develop and setup a client satisfaction measuring system

Business Development

  • Support creating the SCOPE Insights Report, which includes the most important conclusions of our data analysis
  • Conduct market research such as researching the CSR programs of corporates and map the donor driven sector and use this background information in presentations.

Sales

  • Follow-up on correspondence with existing clients and plan meetings
  • Sales support: organize online campaigns for prospects, arrange webinars, etc.
  • Prepare standardized and/or customized marketing presentations
  • Provide support for customized presentations in running projects
  • Assist in developing and updating sales-related details for monthly management reporting
  • Implement automated emails in TeamLeader
  • TeamLeader database: complete and clean-up

Education and experience

  • Business mentality
  • An interest in the agribusiness sector and agricultural systems in development countries
  • Experience in conducting research in a structural manner
  • Excellent English language skills. Language skills in Spanish and/or French are highly preferred
  • Excellent skills in Excel and other Office tools
